Frequently Asked Questions

Pricelist: How much will my wedding cost?
We can assure you one thing: your wedding will cost a lot less than the average wedding! Please visit our Pricelist to get an idea of what services we offer and how much they cost. On a budget? Let us know, and we'll help work out the details!

Is the ceremony or marriage legal?
Yes, ceremonies by the Antique Angel are legal in every state, country and continent.

What is a certified copy?
We recommend that every newly married couple get a certified copy of their marriage license. This is the legal document of the marriage. The certified copy is what the bride will need to change her name legally. What all employers require to update the W-4 as well as any insurance changes. The "Blue" Marriage Certificate that every couple leaves with is basically just a souvenir copy. We, here at the Antique Angel, are happy to purchase the certified copy for you at the same time that we register your ceremony. We mail every Monday, first thing in the morning so you have it that same week. So, for a mere $30.00, you have what you need to proceed as husband and wife.

Do you have a limo?
No... BUT! We do have a Town Car and would be happy to pick up the bride and groom from a local hotel here in Reno or Sparks. This is a complimentary service, however we do ask that you tip the driver.

What do I need to get married?
To be legally married in the State of Nevada, you must purchase a marriage license and have a marriage ceremony performed. The fee for the license is $60.00. The marriage license must be purchased in person in the Marriage License Bureau in either Reno or Incline Village.

Where do I get my marriage license?
Just a couple blocks south of the Antique Angel Wedding Chapel, at the Courthouse located at 75 Court Street.

When can I get my license?
The marriage license may be obtained up to one year prior to the ceremony. The Marriage License Bureau is open from 8 AM to midnight, every day of the week. Both the bride and groom will need to be present with a photo ID. We encourage you to get your license several days before your wedding. Just drop it off at the chapel when you get the license--and then you won't have to worry about losing it or forgetting it on your wedding day!

What kind of ceremony do you do?
The ceremony is on the traditional side. It usually brings at least one person to tears! The ceremony includes exchanging of vows and exchanging of rings. You can also add a Unity Candle ceremony or Dedication Rose. You may make minor adjustments to the ceremony. Just let us know before your wedding day what you had in mind.
